Two members of the United South Central/Alden-Conger girls’ track and field team qualified for the state meet Saturday at the Section 2A Meet at Mankato West.

Amanda Allis and Emily Mantor both earned second place in their events.

Allis hurled the shot put 38 feet, 6 1/2 inches, and Mantor ran the 3,200-meter run in 11:32.93.

John Schuster and Tyler Johannsen led the USC/A-C boys’ squad. Schuster took fifth in the 300-meter hurdles, as did Johannsen in the high jump.

The state track meet will be held at Hamline University from June 7 to 8.
