CARLTON — A woman who prosecutors say admitted drinking before a fatal crash in Carlton County is charged with vehicular homicide.

Thirty-four-year-old Kari Renee Luoma was killed and her husband, Jeremiah Luoma, was seriously injured when their vehicle was struck at an intersection in Thomson Township Saturday.

Authorities said 25-year-old Megan Dickenson was driving the car that struck the Luomas’ vehicle. A criminal complaint said Dickenson told investigators she had been drinking at a bar in Scanlon before the crash.
