ST. PAUL — The wife of a former Minnesota Viking is appealing her conviction in a fatal hit-and-run accident to the state Supreme Court.

The attorney for Amy Senser asked the high court Wednesday to review the case.

Senser’s attorney contends last month’s ruling by the Minnesota Court of Appeals upholding Senser’s guilty verdict was wrong on several counts.

The appeals court ruled there was sufficient evidence that Senser knew she had struck and injured 38-year-old Anousone Phanthavong.

Phanthavong was struck while refilling the gas tank of his stalled car on a freeway exit ramp in Minneapolis. Senser, wife of former Viking Joe Senser, claimed she thought she had hit a pothole or construction barrier.
