Car show winners announced

The first-place People’s Choice Award winner at the fourth annual free car show in Albert Lea was Harley and Pam Fredrick with a 1967 Chevy Chevelle. –Submitted

The fourth annual free car show in Albert Lea was held on the Fourth of July. Seventy-seven cars were parked on Fountain Street.

The second-place People’s Choice Award winner at the fourth annual free car show in Albert Lea was Doug and Julie Bronson with a 1964 Pontiac GTO.

The first-place Peoples’ Choice Award winner was Harley and Pam Fredrick with a 1967 Chevy Chevelle. Second-place was Doug and Julie Bronson with a 1964 Pontiac GTO. Third-place was Neil Rame with a 1969 Plymouth Barracuda.

Major sponsors of the event were Bolten & Menk, KQAQ 970 AM, American Legion, Old Car Company and Albert Lea Convention & Visitors Bureau.
