MINNEAPOLIS — More than 100 people gathered in south Minneapolis to speak out against the acquittal of George Zimmerman in the fatal shooting of 17-year-old Trayvon Martin in Florida.
A crowd gathered Sunday night at a synagogue in south Minneapolis for a service focusing on the case and recent verdict.
Rabbi Michael Latz says he organized the service at Shir Tikvah to let people in the community come together during a time of anguish.
Many attendees say they were spurred to attend to protest a verdict they view as an injustice.
