Dorothy Marie Gillespie, 97, of Pepeekeo, Hawaii, died on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Hale Anuenue Restorative Care Center in Hilo, Hawaii.
She was born on March 27, 1916, in Albert Lea.
She was a homemaker and former Girl Scout leader.
She was also a member of Order of Eastern Star and a member of Kaumana Drive Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by William Lloyd Gillespie.
Visitation will be from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m. Saturday at Dodo Mortuary Chapel in Hilo with a memorial service to follow at 4:30 p.m.
Friends and family should wear Aloha attire.

Dorothy is survived by her sons, Larry (Shirley) Gillespie of Lake Stevens, Wash., and Philip (Susan) Gillespie of Honomu, Hawaii; daughters, Karen (Carlos) Moller of Pepeekeo and Thea (David) Beaudet of Pepeekeo; brothers, Neal Petersen of Albert Lea, Alton (Maryann) Petersen of Austin and Harris Petersen of San Diego, Calif.; sisters, Marcella (Jim) Minear of Albert Lea and Harriet Wangen of Albert Lea; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
