ST. PAUL — Minnesota Lt. Gov. Yvonne Prettner Solon is part of a delegation traveling to Germany to meet with experts and policymakers about renewable energy.

Prettner Solon and the rest of the group left for Berlin on Saturday. The trip is hosted by the Center for German and European Studies at the University of Minnesota.

Minnesota’s delegation is comprised of people representing government, the energy industry, renewable energy non-profits and higher education institutions. Prettner Solon says the trip will be a great opportunity to trade ideas with leaders from a country that has been a trailblazer in renewable energy.

She is scheduled to return the following Saturday.
