BALSAM LAKE, Wis. — The search for a missing 2-year-old western Wisconsin boy has been called off for the night and will resume in the morning.

Authorities suspended the search for Isaiah Theis at around 9:30 p.m. Wednesday and will resume after daybreak today.

Several hundred volunteers have helped search the fields and woods surrounding the family’s rural home near Centuria.

Isaiah was last seen playing at home with his brother Tuesday night. The family called authorities after they noticed he was missing and couldn’t find him.

Polk County Sheriff Peter Johnson says the search area will be expanded once areas closest to the home are cleared.

Today’s weather is expected to be more of the same, with temperatures in the low 90s and high humidity.
