HUTCHINSON — The body of a man who died while trying to swim across a lake in McLeod County has been recovered.

A search for 69-year-old Keith Allan Wilken, of Fairmount, began after relatives reported him missing Wednesday morning. A family member told authorities Wilken was attempting to swim across Hook Lake near Hutchinson when he disappeared.

Officers from multiple agencies helped with the search. Wilken’s body was found about 7:30 p.m.
