An Albert Lea woman was arrested Wednesday for reportedly hitting her boyfriend in the head with a hammer and then stabbing him in the chest and back with a screwdriver, according to Albert Lea police.
Samantha Leah Freeman was taken into custody after the incident at 1208 St. Joseph Ave. at about 6:21 p.m. The victim, identified as Brian Dowdell, was transported to the hospital by a private vehicle.
