Central Park is not used enough

I would like to ask why does Central Park sit idle so much when it has so much to offer. I like the idea it was used for the Wind Down Wednesday finale (Tribune gallery “Perks of Central Park”) while we await the $4.3 million streetscape project.

It makes me wonder how soon it will be forgotten again when the streetscape unveiling happens, and every event, function, needs to take place downtown to showcase. It is too bad that with the trees, sidewalks and ample parking that it is not utilized more than it is, such as for the Albert Lea Farmers Market, etc. I have visited other cities and its amazes me what happens in downtown parks. Let’s hope we don’t forget our little perk in downtown Albert Lea.
