Dewyer said a small amount of chemicals were accidentally mixed, giving off fumes that were “unusual.” The plant was evacuated as a precaution.

A hazmat team was called in. Officials don’t know what chemicals were mixed or how it happened.

The company said all employees are safe and accounted for.

Brown Printing has been in Waseca for 55 years. The company prints various magazines.
