REDWOOD FALLS — It’s not an election year, but that hasn’t made Farmfest any less of a draw for politicians tending to ties with Minnesota’s agriculture community.
Democratic Gov. Mark Dayton paid his visit today to the giant farming exhibition in southern Minnesota. He was planning to give a midday speech to the assembled farmers.
Republican U.S. Senate candidate Mike McFadden was also stopping by the event just outside of Redwood Falls.
Farmfest is a three-day event that features agriculture exhibits and attracts strong farming crowds each year.
Democratic Sen. Al Franken made an appearance on Tuesday. State Rep. Kurt Zellers, a Republican candidate for governor, was at the festival on Wednesday.
