Lynx forward is honored

MINNEAPOLIS — The WNBA named Minnesota Lynx forward Maya Moore its Western Conference Player of the Week for games played Aug. 5 through Aug. 11, according to a press release.
This is Moore’s first Player of the Week of the season and third of her career.
Moore started off the week with 26 points on 10-15 shooting in Minnesota’s 93-80 win over San Antonio.
