Albert Lea police arrested Eddie Alvin Hopper, 61, for second-degree assault after he reportedly cut another man with a knife outside the Nasty Habit bar at 12:24 a.m. today.

The victim reportedly received a small cut on the cheek but refused to go to the hospital, police stated.

Albert Lea Police Department Lt. Darren Hanson said Hopper had taken his bicycle inside the bar, and after some time was talked into taking the bike outside. Shortly after, he allegedly went after another man with a knife.

Hanson said there does not appear to be a reason the alleged assault occurred.
