Bulldogs rally falls short

The Lake Mills football team shut out West Fork in the second half, but the Bulldogs lost their season opener 20-18 on Friday.

“We’re happy with the second half,” Lake Mills head coach Bill Byrnes said. “We had a chance to win.”

The Bulldogs were unable to convert any extra points on the road. In the fourth quarter, a 4-yard rushing touchdown by Chaden Riles gave Lake Mills a chance to tie the game at 20, but the Bulldogs were unable to score on the two-point conversion.
