Rebels keep streak alive

The United South Central girls’ tennis team remained undefeated Monday with a 4-3 win at Fairmont.
The Rebels won each of their singles matches and the Cardinals countered by sweeping the doubles.
USC moved to 7-0 on the season with the victory.
In addition, the Rebels competed Saturday at the New Prague tournament. USC finished in fourth place out of eight teams. Princeton took first place and New Prague finished last.
USC No. 1 singles player, Claire Christian, earned second place. Linsey Thisius was the consolation champion at No. 2 singles and Kia Legred was the consolation, champion at No. 3 singles.
Next, the Rebels take the court at Waseca at 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 3. This afternoon’s match against Le Center has been rescheduled to 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 23. Thursday’s match at New Ulm has been rescheduled to 4:30 p.m. on Sept. 6.
