Twins recall pitcher Hendriks

MINNEAPOLIS — The Minnesota Twins announced Wednesday they plan to recall right-handed pitcher Liam Hendriks from Triple-A Rochester in time for today’s split double header, according to a press release.

Hendriks is scheduled to start the second game on Friday in Chicago. He made 14 starts for the Red Wings this season, going 3-8, with a 5.12 ERA) with 14 walks, 50 strikeouts and one complete game.

Hendriks made two starts for the Twins earlier this season, going 0-1, with a 4.66 ERA with one walk and five strikeouts.
