ST. PAUL — A jury has been selected to hear the murder trial of a St. Paul man accused of killing his wife.

Three women and three men were added Wednesday afternoon to the jury for 39-year-old Jeffery Trevino. That brings the total to 14, including two alternates.

Trevino faces two counts of second-degree murder in the death of his 30-year-old wife, Kira Steger. Steger went missing Feb. 22. Her body was found in the Mississippi River in May.

Steger worked as co-manager of a clothing store at the Mall of America. A search of the house the couple rented turned up what authorities allege was blood evidence, leading to the charges against Trevino.

Opening statements are scheduled today. The trial is scheduled to last three weeks.
