Jill Nelson will be the guest speaker at the Friends of the Library annual meeting at 7 p.m. Tuesday in the City Council Chambers on the third floor of the City Hall.

Nelson is an award- winning author and writing teacher who writes about what she likes to read – tales of adventure seasoned with romance, humor and faith.

At the meeting, Nelson will talk about the power of a story. She will offer a brief preview reading from her next book “Frame Up.”

Admission to the event is by current membership card, which will be available at the door for $5.
