Phyllis Oelerking, 85, Wells

Phyllis Colleen Oelerking, 85, of Wells, died Saturday, Sept. 14, 2013, at Southview Acres in West St. Paul. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. today at the North Blue Earth Lutheran Church in Brush Creek Township, Faribault County. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church today. The Rev. Nancy Dreier will officiate and interment will be in Rosehill Cemetery, Wells. Please see www.brussheitner.com to leave online condolences. Phyllis was born July 19, 1928, the daughter of William and Mary (Nofsker) Buschow in Matawan. In 1946, she graduated from Freeborn High School. On Feb. 5, 1947, she married Norman “Shorty” Oelerking in Freeborn. Phyllis was a member of the North Blue Earth Church WELCA. She enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, mowing the lawn and spending time with her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Phyllis is survived by her two sons: Glenn (Judy) Oelerking of Inver Grove Heights, Mark (partner James Reay) Oelerking of Sun City, Ariz.; two grandchildren: Scott (Jena) Oelerking of South St. Paul and Stacy Oelerking of St. Paul; three great-grandchildren: Maxwell, Emma, and Inga Oelerking; a sister, Ardella Dinneen of Wells; and numerous nieces and nephews and their families.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Norman; and three sisters, Helen Young, Evelyn Darg and Rozella Redman.
