Police reports state a man received minor injuries early Sunday morning after he was stabbed in self defense by a woman.

Justin Larson was assaulting the woman at 212 S. First Ave. when she grabbed a small kitchen knife and stabbed him, said Albert Lea Police Department Lt. Darren Hanson.

Larson reportedly ran out of the house and was seen by someone driving by, who called police. The incident was reported at 5:37 a.m.

Larson was arrested, but the woman was not, Hanson said.
