6 injured in broadside crash

An Albert Lea man and five others were injured in a broadside collision Sunday morning in Watonwan County.

Nicholas A. Breckenridge, 30, of Albert Lea was reportedly transported to St. James Hospital for injuries that were not life-threatening.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2008 Jeep Cherokee, driven by Adam Breckenridge, 27, of Butterfield, was traveling westbound on Watonwan County Road 10 when it collided with a 1998 Chevy Tahoe, driven by Eric C. Duvall, 48, of Sioux City, S.D., that was traveling southbound on County Road 5.

Reports stated Nicholas Breckenridge was a passenger in the Jeep Cherokee.

Adam Breckenridge and Eric Duvall were also injured, along with Duvall’s passengers, Eric Duvall Jr., 9, Gaelana Duvall, 5, and Angelica Duvall, 8, all of Brownton.

Reports indicated alcohol was not a factor in the crash and the occupants of both vehicles were wearing their seat belts.

The crash was reported at 11:22 a.m.
