An Albert Lea native who has penned a novel set in the city will be visiting the area to host book signings.

Sandra Esch, of San Diego, will be in Clarks Grove from 1 to 3 p.m. Saturday at A Bit Bookish hosting a book signing for her new novel “A Whisper in the Wind.”

Esch grew up in Albert Lea and Hartland, before moving to Minneapolis and then San Diego. The book is the third in a trilogy of historical romance novels set in Albert Lea.

Esch will also host book signings from from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Barnes & Noble in Mankato, from 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 10 at Barnes & Noble in Minnetonka, from 3 to 5 p.m. Oct. 11 at Book World in Mason City, and from 1 to 3 p.m. Oct. 12 at Barnes & Noble at the Apache Mall in Rochester.
