Local residents to speak at Manufacturers Summit

Laura Leraaen, human resources assistant at Innovance, will be among the featured speakers at the Minnesota Manufacturers Summit later this month.

She will be on a panel about a youth apprenticeship program in Albert Lea and will be joined by Kim Meyer, industrial technology adviser at Albert Lea High School. With them will be Assistant Principal Johann Thomas.

Minnesota’s manufacturing sector — its contributions and its challenges — will be highlighted at the event from 7:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 23 at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Bloomington Minneapolis South. The summit is presented by the Minnesota Manufacturers Coalition, which is managed by the Minnesota Chamber of Commerce.
