The New Richland-Hartland-Ellendale-Geneva boys’ and girls’ cross country teams finished in the bottom half of the Section 2A standings Thursday at Montgomery Golf Course.
However, the Panthers found success on an individual level.
Not only did T.J. Schiltz earn a runner-up finish, his third trip to the state meet and All-Section honors, he also shed a significant amount of time.
“He’s taken off 45 seconds from our last run in Montgomery,” NRHEG head coach Mike Weber said. “He’s certainly proving to be one of Minnesota’s top runners.”
The state meet is set for Nov. 2 at St. Olaf College in Northfield. Times have yet to be determined.
