Officials say MNsure still has kinks to work out

ST. PAUL — Officials with Minnesota’s new online health insurance marketplace said some registration problems have been fixed, but a new one has emerged.
MNsure Executive Director April Todd-Malmlov said Monday that the new glitch is affecting fewer people and appears intermittent. But she said it is preventing MNsure account registrations that are required before people can buy health insurance.
Todd-Malmlov said anyone having that problem should wait a couple hours and try again.
Despite the latest glitch, Todd-Malmlov said the insurance website continues to draw interest.
The site drew 4,300 unique visitors Monday. Nearly 6,000 people have created MNsure accounts since the site went live last week and started offering health insurance as a state exchange — a key part of President Barack Obama’s health care law.
