Please vote yes for the children

For the benefit of all the children in our area, please vote on Nov. 5 to pass the referendum levy. If the levy passes, our district will receive funding to provide financial stability for at least seven more years, and your taxes will not be raised at all. If the levy does not pass, funding for grades 1-12 could be decreased which could cause our schools to have to make cutbacks.
Times are tough right now, and our schools and students need all the support they can get. Proper funding is essential to maintain the quality of education our children deserve. This is not just an issue for families with school-age children. Even if your children are grown, please pay it forward for the next generation. This generation is growing up during a difficult economic time and they need the support of their community.
Please vote yes for the levy, and if you have questions about it, the school district’s website (www.alschools.org) has all the information you need to make an informed decision.
The best investment we can make is in educating the children who are our future, and in this case, voting to pass the levy won’t cost you anything but your time. Please take the time on Nov. 5 to do this favor for the children of our wonderful community. They deserve a great education and they need your vote.
