I live in an apartment complex in the southern end of Albert Lea. I normally wouldn’t be vocal about things like this, but when simple things like a smoke detector aren’t maintained by landlords lives are at stake.

Since moving into the complex in late spring I haven’t had a working or hung smoke detector in my apartment. I also don’t have a working oven, proper bathroom sink and a railing outside that is hanging on by a few screws.

Hold your landlords accountable. I know I will start to do so. My rent isn’t worth paying.
