Abilyn Wolters, of Albert Lea, and George Gerdes Jr., of Manly, Iowa, were married at 4 p.m. June 15 at Shoff Park.

Stephen Piper performed the double-ring ceremony.

Parents of the bride are Lynn Wolters, of Owatonna, and Pam Wolters, of Albert Lea. Grandparents of the bride are LaVonna Wolters, of Owatonna, and Valbord Vollmer, of Scottsdale, Ariz.

Parent of the groom is Joette Gerdes.

Both the bride’s grandfather, LeRoy Wolters, and the groom’s father, George Gerdes Sr., were remembered at the ceremony.

The bride is a 2002 graduate of Owatonna Senior High School.

The groom is a 2001 graduate of North Central High School in Manly.

A wedding trip was taken to Virginia Beach, Va.
