Woman arrested for driving under influence
Freeborn County sheriff’s deputies arrested Holly Jeanette Laite for driving under the influence of drugs and fifth-degree methamphetamine possession after a traffic stop at 11:51 a.m. Wednesday near the intersection of East Main Street and Ulstad Avenue.
2 cited for shoplifting
Freeborn County sheriff’s deputies cited Sherri Lynn Adams for shoplifting from 122 Bridge Ave. at 7:19 p.m. Friday after dispatchers received a report of a woman who allegedly stole cigarettes and a lighter.
Albert Lea police arrested Sabitas Calderon, 27, for theft from Shopko, 2610 Bridge Ave., at 5:34 p.m. Saturday.
Man arrested for disorderly conduct
Albert Lea police arrested Richard Dwayne Kay, 45, for disorderly conduct at 8:32 p.m. at 328 Court St. after receiving a call of people yelling in the street.
2 cited for drug paraphernalia
Albert Lea police cited Luis G. Valladares Valadez, 21, and Esiquio Castanon, 20, for possession of drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at 1:42 a.m. today near the intersection of West Front Street and Madison Avenue.
Dog bites reported
A volunteer at the Freeborn County Humane Society was reportedly bit by a pit bull Friday morning. The person was treated in the emergency room at Albert Lea’s hospital.
A juvenile delivering newspapers was reportedly bitten by a dog at the intersection of James Avenue and East Seventh St. at 4:47 p.m. Wednesday.
Man arrested after allegedly trying to sell pills
Albert Lea police arrested Dylan Ray Watson on a Rice County warrant, failure to comply with the conditions of his probation, second-degree burglary and possession of prescription drugs without a prescription at 2:17 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of Madison Avenue and West Seventh Street. Police had received a report that Watson had tried selling a man some pills.
Assault reported at bar
A man was reportedly assaulted at Harold’s Bar, 1318 E. Main St., at 1:04 a.m. Saturday.
Man cited for marijuana
Albert Lea police cited Tanner Richard Smith for possession of marijuana after a traffic stop at 100 W. Hawthorne St. at 12:44 a.m. Sunday.
