HAYWARD — A Mason City woman received minor injuries Monday evening after she reportedly crashed her pickup into the side of a semi near Hayward.

Whitney Adams, 19, was driving southbound on Freeborn County Road 26 in a 1998 Dodge Dakota when she reportedly stopped at the stop sign at the road’s intersection with Freeborn County Road 46 but failed to yield to a Bayland Transport semi traveling west on County Road 46, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office.

Adams was transported by ambulance to Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea.

The semi’s driver, Paul Jacques, 63, of Green Bay, Wis., was not injured.
