Minneapolis-based Andrea Weckerle will lead the half-day discussions. Weckerle is the founder of CivilNation and author of “Civility in the Digital Age: How Companies and People Can Triumph Over Haters, Trolls, Bullies and Other Jerks.”

The workshop, to be held on Thursday in the City Council Chambers from 9 a.m. to noon, will focus on providing organizations tools and strategies to manage and protect online reputations. This is important for businesses, corporations and educational organizations alike, according to a news release.

The ease at which consumers can generate web content makes everyone vulnerable to a brand attack. Three topics will be covered: the financial reputational cost of incivility in today’s global online environment, how you and your organization’s conflict approach impacts your reputation, and a review of online conflict resolution skills and strategies.
