Funeral services for Kevin Harry Schewe will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Central Freeborn Lutheran Church. The Rev. Matt Griggs will officiate. Kevin died on Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, at St. Marys Hospital in Rochester.

Kevin Harry Schewe was born on April 6, 1954, in Albert Lea, the son of Howard and Harriet (Nelson) Schewe. He grew up and attended school in Albert Lea. Kevin worked at Progress Casting in Albert Lea for 33 years as a molder. After working at Progress he joined his son Kevin in starting an automotive mechanic and body shop. On June 2, 2007, Kevin was united in marriage to Debra Weitzel. The couple had been together for 30 years. Kevin enjoyed fishing, camping, working on cars and especially the time he spent with his wife and family. Kevin loved going on road trips.

Survivors include his wife, Debra; children Kevin Jr. (Tina) Schewe and Kristopher (Beth) Schewe; stepdaughters April and Amber Tasker; grandchildren Alicia and Elena Schewe, Hallie Schewe, Alexis and Noah Tasker and Zoe and Zana Tripp; mother, Harriet (Melvin) Wittmer; siblings Lorraine (special friend Ron) Schewe, Linda (Lanny) Bergeson, Lanette (Larry) Olson, Howard Jr. (Julie) Schewe, Rod (Vicky) Schewe and Lyndon (Cindi) Schewe; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Kevin was preceded in death by his father, Howard Schewe; and his nephew, Lonnie Bergeson.
