Two Lake Mills volleyball players will be members of Team Iowa on Sunday at the Tri-State Challenge in La Crosse, Wis.
Morgan Christenson and Brooke Hagen were selected, along with nine other players to represent team Iowa. This will be the sixth annual All-Star event put on by Dan and Susan Ninham. The matches will be played on the campus on the University of Wisconsin at La Crosse at Mitchell Hall Gymnasium.
Team Iowa will face Team Minnesota at 11:30 a.m. It will face Team Wisconsin in the second match of the day before Wisconsin and Minnesota square off to finish the event.
Other North Iowa area participants are Mara Forsyth from Charles City, Ali Grein and Tatum Meyer from Algona, and Jadee Walsh from Osage.
In the six-year history of this event Lake Mills has been represented on team Iowa.
“I am very happy that Brooke and Morgan will be played,” Lake Mills head coach Jim Boehmer said. “This is a great honor and a great event. I get to see two of my players on the floor with Mara, my niece, and that makes for a proud coach and a proud uncle.”
