The Albert Lea Public Library will hold a Choose Kindness event at 2 p.m. Sunday.

Families and children are invited to participate in stories, books, games, crafts and other activities.

At 3 p.m., a new mural in the nonfiction library, painted by artist Chandler Anderson and commissioned by the Friends of the Library, will be unveiled. The mural honors Grace Haukoos, Jane Hofkamp and the late Karol Held, who started the Fountain Lake Book Store.
