Albert Lea police received a report at 7:42 a.m. Saturday from the emergency room at Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea of a man who was assaulted earlier that morning.

According to police, the man was walking home from Harold’s Bar on the Front Street extension when he was assaulted at about 2:30 a.m.

The severity of his injuries were unknown as of press time.
