On behalf of The Friends of the Albert Lea Public Library, Cindy Fjermestad and I wish to thank our volunteers and customers for another successful book sale which took place in October. Thank you also goes to the Sentence to Serve workers who are instrumental in our book sale preparations. We also need to thank the city employees, especially the Albert Lea Engineering Department, for working with us and making the garage and parking available.

Thank you to Michelle Gurung of the library staff for making the eye-catching advertising posters. The proceeds from the Friends’ book sales support library programming that might not otherwise be available for library patrons. Donations of gently-used books are always appreciated; but because of their volume and our limited space, we are unable to accept magazines or sets of encyclopedias. Remember to visit the Fountain Lake Bookstore located on the first floor of City Hall. We hope to see everyone in the spring for our next sale.
