One person was injured Monday afternoon after a vehicle reportedly rear-ended another on Interstate 35 in Steele County.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, Norman F. Knish, 87, of Waterville was driving a 2011 Ford Edge southbound on the interstate when he collided with a 2012 GMC Acadia, driven by Kelly K. Pipho, 45, of Albert Lea.

Knish suffered injuries that were not life-threatening.

Knish’s passenger, Ione M. Knish, 80, of Waterville, and Pipho were not injured.

The crash took place at 12:52 p.m.
