Albert Lea youth soccer team recognized for sportsmanship

The Albert Lea U12 girls’ soccer team stands on the field during the 2013 season. The squad was recognized as Outstanding Ambassadors of Teams Honoring Sportsmanship (OATHS) for the fall season by the Minnesota State Soccer Association. OATHS recognizes boys’ and girls’ teams that exhibit sportsmanship among players, coaches and spectators in the U9 through U19 age groups. OATHS awards are based on referees’ ratings of each team. Players listed on the Albert Lea U12 girls’ soccer team’s roster are Rylee Bjorklund, Ashley Butt, Sydney Collins, Jadyn Ellingson, Vanessa Whelan, Sierra Jensen, Annie Prigge, Daysha Luttrell, Sydney Nelson, Alexis Rothmeier, Turena Schultz, Jocelyn Strom, Emma Turbett and Sydney Koziolek. — Submitted
