Award-winning actor Rory Kinnear plays Hamlet in the production of William Shakespeare’s famous play that was directed by Nicholas Hytner. Kinnear is joined by Clare Higgins (Gertrude), Patrick Malahide (Claudius), David Calder (Polonius), James Laurenson (Ghost/Player King) and Ruth Negga (Ophelia).

The National Theater opened its doors for the first time in 1963 with a production of “Hamlet,” — which is why the encore presentation is being presented now, 50 years later.
