The Humane Society of Freeborn County and Blue Buffalo is holding its Home for the Holidays adoption event now through Jan. 1.

All cats and kittens will be available for adoption for $25 and dogs are available for $75. Applications are required.

There are currently 49 cats and kittens in need of homes, and the shelter is almost full of dogs, too.

The Humane Society is located south of the boat landing in Frank Hall Park.

The shelter hours are Tuesdays and Thursday from 1 to 5 p.m., Friday from noon to 5 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It can be reached by calling 377-8501.
