Garage fire reported

MANCHESTER — A garage fire was reported at 71717 275th St., north of Manchester, at 6:16 p.m. Friday, according to the Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office. No other information was available as of press time.

 

Pop machine broken into

OAKLAND — A pop machine at the Oakland Rest Area for Interstate 90 was reported damaged at 3:06 p.m. Saturday, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

 

Hit-and-run reported

Albert Lea police received a report at 11:07 a.m. Monday of a hit-and-run crash that took place in the Home Depot parking lot on Friday.

 

Window broken out of vehicle

Albert Lea police received a report at 9:02 a.m. Friday of a window that had been broken out of a vehicle at 220 1/2 E. Seventh St. A CD player, estimated at $300 in value, was taken.

 

Items reported stolen

About $754 in cash was reported missing from the register at Motel 65, 1611 S.E. Broadway, at 7:36 p.m. Friday.

Tools and $57 in cash was reported missing from Sears, 2722 Bridge Ave., at 12:29 p.m. Sunday. There did not appear to be forced entry into the store.

A PlayStation 4 was reported stolen from 502 Mill Way at 8:34 a.m. Saturday.

Police received a report at 10:48 a.m. Saturday that wood had been stolen from a wood pile at 720 Jefferson Ave.

Mail was reported stolen from the front desk of the Hotel Midwestern, 2301 E. Main St., at 3:43 p.m. Monday.

 

Man arrested for domestic assault

Police arrested Tommy Melendez, 21, for domestic assault at 11:15 p.m. Saturday after a reported assault at 108 McArthur Drive.

 

Man arrested on warrants

Albert Lea police arrested Anthony Jerome Woodraska, 24, on two warrants for violating his conditions of release at 615 Pillsbury Ave. at 11:07 p.m. Monday. At 11:46 p.m., police conducted a search warrant at the same address.
