EDEN PRAIRIE — The Minnesota Vikings are back from a painful road trip.
Not only did the Vikings lose the lead Sunday in Baltimore three times in the fourth quarter for another last-second loss, they saw star running back Adrian Peterson and several others suffer significant injuries.
Peterson’s X-rays showed no broken bones in his right foot, but he was having a CT scan for further evaluation. Peterson said he is planning on playing Sunday against Philadelphia, but it was too early to determine his status.
Peterson’s backup Toby Gerhart also hurt his hamstring. Cornerback Xavier Rhodes rolled his ankle. Right guard Brandon Fusco injured his knee. Tight end John Carlson got a concussion.
Tight end Kyle Rudolph, who broke his right foot six weeks ago, was also placed on season-ending injured reserve.
