Suspicious person reported

GENEVA — A 6-foot-tall man wearing dark clothes and a dark hat was reportedly seen trying to break into 106 N. Central Ave., Geneva, at 3:23 a.m. today. He left on foot and did not gain entry to the building.

 

Hit-and-run reported

A hit-and-run crash was reported to a pickup parked at 820 Happy Trails Lane at 1:11 a.m. today.

 

Gas drive-off reported

ALDEN — The Freeborn County Sheriff’s Office received a report at 3:10 a.m. today of a gas drive-off at 105 North Star Road, Alden. About $66 in gas was taken. The vehicle was described as a silver Toyota sports utility vehicle.

 

Thefts reported

Stair railings were reported stolen from 509 W. College St. at 6:01 p.m. Thursday, police stated.

A theft was reported at Walmart, 1550 Blake Ave., at 10:47 p.m. Thursday. Police were called in to review surveillance tape.
