The crash took place at 4:34 p.m. at the intersection where gravel 170th Avenue meets Winnebago County Road A30 and U.S. Highway 69.
According to the Iowa State Patrol, Anthony Alois Gau, 42, was driving southbound on 170th Avenue in a 2006 Chrysler minivan when he failed to stop at stop sign at the road’s intersection with County Road A30 and struck a 1997 Ford F-150.
