The Albert Lea varsity girls’ dance team took third place in the high-kick compeition and fourth place in the jazz competition on Jan. 11 at Rochester Century. The Albert Lea junior varsity team took second place in the high-kick competition. Captains are Christina Schmidt, Angie Schmitt, Katelyn Hendrickson and Taylor Martinez. Dance team coaches are Allison Ciota, Kelsey Routh and Erica McClaskey. After the Big Nine Conference championships on Saturday at noon at Faribault, the Tigers will compete at the Section 1AA tournament at Austin. The state tournament will be Feb. 14 and 15. — Submitted
