MINNEAPOLIS — The Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office is hoping a winter fishing event will help lure kids toward healthy lifestyle choices, and away from drugs.
Authorities are teaming up with children from the Boys & Girls Club of Little Earth for an afternoon of ice fishing on Friday at Fort Snelling State Park.
This is the first time the sheriff’s office is hosting its “Hooked on Fishing; Not on Drugs” event in the winter.
The event is designed to be a fun activity to promote healthy lifestyle choices as alternatives to drug use.
