Glenville-Emmons halts 6-game streak

The Glenville-Emmons boys’ basketball team stopped a six-game losing streak Thursday with a 68-61 win over Le Roy-Ostrander.
The Wolverines built a 10-point lead at halftime (37-27) and maintained the lead in the second half.
Glenville-Emmons had four players score in double digits and two players with double-doubles.
Derek Van Ryswyk led the Wolverines with 15 points and 12 rebounds. Justice Haines added 11 points and 10 rebounds.
Aaron Dempewolf scored 15 points, Gavin Allison scored 14.
Christian Voss played a well-rounded game with five points, four rebounds, five steals and six assists.
Le Roy-Ostrander (1-8 overall, 0-6 Southeast Conference) will look for its first conference win against Schaeffer Academy at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday.
Glenville-Emmons (4-7 overall, 2-4 Southeast Conference) will play next at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Hope Lutheran.
After starting the season 4-2, the Patriots are coming off two straight losses.
