Lillian Cisewski, 88, Albert Lea

Lillian Cisewski, formerly of Winona, died in Albert Lea on Wednesday, Jan. 22, 2014. She was born on Dec. 31, 1925, to Charles and Mary (Tudahl) Quamen, in Berthold, N.D. Lillian lived in Winona and Taylor, Wis. She graduated from Taylor in 1943 and moved to Albert Lea in 2003.

She was united in marriage with James Cisewski in 1945 and was a member of St. Casimir’s Catholic Church. Her favorite pastimes were crafts, going to the Harvest House, sewing, playing cards and getting together with friends. She also enjoyed going to jazz fests and to Arizona with family.

Lillian is survived by her husband, James Cisewski of Albert Lea; daughter and son-in-law, Cheryl (Gar) Petersen of Albert Lea; daughter-in-law, Ena Cisewski of Rochester; grandchildren Mike (Amy) Petersen of Albert Lea, Scott (Tara) Petersen of Sioux Falls, S.D., Jon Petersen of Austin, Texas, Aaron (Jen) Cisewski of Eagan and Jenifer Jackson of Rochester; and seven great-grandchildren, Quinn, Noah, Calvin, Lily Ana, Nash, Brayden and Brenna.

A Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at St. Casimir’s Catholic Church in Winona.

The Rev. Monsignor Richard M. Colletti will officiate.

Lillian will be laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery in a family ceremony at a later date.

Visitation will be at St. Casimir’s Catholic Church at 10 a.m. Friday until the time of the Mass.
